Through a love and appreciation for nature, materials, color and form and certainly the walls and surfaces of urban environments, I have arrived at a set of symbols or a language based on just that. These symbols serve to mark periods of inspiration and heightened awareness and provide me with the tools to document my feelings. I would like to think I make objects of contemplation. I make things I want to see while allowing the viewer access to his or her own feelings. My approach is one of introspection. What information I assimilate and translate into imagery comes from the belief that like life, art is concerned with the search for one's self, one's thoughts. Understanding the two as one will always be the final goal.
